Mobile Tutorial

Install the App

To get started, find and install the Pleasant Password Server mobile app in the app store of your specific device.

If using iOS or Windows you must install a verifiable certificate. See instructions mentioned above.

Connect to the Network of your Server

Ensure that your mobile device is properly connected to a network from which your server can be accessed. This can be an external network, however you must properly configure the network hosting your server so that it is accessible externally. Be careful, as this exposes your server to the world. Most scenarios only require internal or VPN access to the server.

Testing Connectivity

To test the connectivity of your mobile, try connecting:

Enter your Credentials

Once installed, open the app and you will be prompted to enter your Password Server server name and credentials. These server name and credentials are the same you would enter when accessing Password Server from the desktop or web Pleasant KeePass Client. Tap the Login button to proceed. The server and usernames entered will be stored for future login attempts.

Viewing Contents

Providing the credentials you've chosen are correct, you will be presented with a view containing the contents of the Password Server Root folder. The folders will be listed first followed by the passwords, both in alphabetical order.

Accessing Folders and Passwords

  • To Enter a Subfolder, simply tap it. The same follows for accessing the details of a password.
  • To Display the Credential Details, again, tap it. The password itself is initially hidden and can be shown by tapping the Get Password link.
  • Tapping the Back button, in the top left corner of the screen will:
    • show the contents of the current parent folder, or
    • bring you to the previous screen, or
    • on second tab, ask to exit the application

Note:

  • Currently, files and other attachments are not accessible from the mobile client.

Offline Mode

Offline mode is available to those users with the appropriate user access level permissions.
